Why to compare even movie with original one and why would it have to be different. Many people did not watch original movie at all ! SO let us forget that original movie even exists and there is just this movie. The. Only. One. Pet Sematary movie. Ever. Is it really bad ? No. I know enough of movies that according to acting, atmosphere, scenography, effects, story and the entire execution this is a good movie. Period. I am 100% sure about that. For example for me this adaptation is better than recent Nosferatu by Eggers. So dont tell me its bad movie cause I know very well what is good movie. I just know,that is my skill. This version freshens up the formula from the original film a bit, which is definitely an interesting take. Some good scares. I care about all of the characters. John Lithgow as Jud is played fantastically. Succeeding Fred Glenn in the role is no easy task.I highly recommend this version, as well as the original. It had me engaged from the moment I hit play. It had lots of jumps and unexpected twists. If you’re craving some jumps and unexpected twists. This is a must watch It’s not meant for anyone who is unable to see Gore or blood you have to have a strong stomach like I do. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.
