Matthew D @OceanSage 6 days ago For a Piglet movie, there's ironically not enough of a focus on Piglet. It becomes more of a movie about making Eeyore the donkey a new home of sticks. The plot is sadly just all over the place, between the cuddly creatures of Hundred Acre Wood being afraid of Kanga, ignoring Piglet, Winnie and Pooh hanging out, Tigger and Pooh making Eeyore a home, and then Piglet making Eeyore's actual Piglet's Big Movie is scattershot in its writing. The hand drawn animation is very cute and colorful. Carly Simon's soundtrack is upbeat and sweetly sung. The voice acting is very cute. See more Kyle M @RT77296778 Jul 25, 2026 Thoughtfully cute and fun with a big infectious heart emitted off the whimsical animation, but alas there’s little nostalgic value when the nonsensically watered storytelling, especially the tonal gentleness musically carried, is mainly drawn to entertain children as this would be parentally the least tolerable. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch May 7, 2026 Piglet’s Big Movie is a sweet and heartfelt Disney film that finally gives Piglet more attention and character development compared to many of the earlier Winnie the Pooh stories. Instead of focusing mainly on Pooh or Tigger, the movie allows Piglet’s kindness, loyalty, and quiet personality to take center stage, which gives the story a warm and emotional charm throughout. The film uses a story-within-a-story structure, where the characters reflect on memories and experiences they shared with Piglet. That approach works surprisingly well because it helps build emotional connection and shows how important Piglet truly is to the group. The animation is colorful, comforting, and filled with the soft Disney style that fans of the franchise know and love. At the same time, the movie does leave you wishing Piglet had received even more direct focus. Much of the story still revolves around other characters talking about him instead of fully diving into his own journey and perspective. See more Read all reviews
