Power plants have to keep running while wind turbines and solar panels are generating power and the energy involved in creating the green alternatives mean that overall, more fossil fuel is burned to run the green alternatives. There is a lot of sketchy logic and cherry picked stats but the central tenet that green energy isn't always as green as it's advertised deserves scrutiny and the film opens the debate. This armpit is living in Vermont pretending to be the future energy Czar for future president Sanders, yet he won't have an honest dialogue about BioMass because he is so dark and convinced America sucks that he refuses to use his eroded Harvard "educated" mind that focuses on everything wrong America: Pretty Transparent.
