Thiago B Nov 30 Resident Evil: Extinction continues the franchise's trend of prioritizing action over character depth. Alice remains the central figure, but her development is minimal, and the supporting cast is largely forgettable. Survivors display little individuality, making it hard for viewers to connect or care about their fates. The plot is thin and overly reliant on exposition, while dialogue often feels unnatural and lacking emotional weight. Moments intended to generate suspense or empathy fall flat, as the film rarely invests in meaningful character arcs. Visually, the film is impressive, with striking post-apocalyptic landscapes and well-executed action sequences. However, these elements cannot compensate for the narrative weaknesses. The few characters who display distinct traits, such as K-Mart and Claire Redfield, are sidelined too quickly to leave a lasting impact. The movie began with a revisit to what we all love and know to be the first instalment to this series: Resident Evil. We then saw a change in scenery and with that, a completely new perspective on the best ever written character in media, Alice Prototype 1. The combination of masterfully crafted dialogue paired with jaw-dropping, fist clenching, spine tingling action packed fight scenes came together to create a monumental movie screening experience. It's not doing anything that hasn't been done in a Zombie movie before but it's watchable. I'm going to judge the franchise as a whole and decide if it's worth keeping. It's worth watching though I couldn't finish 2 as it was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen- beyond ignorant. See more Martin B Aug 8 This movie is so dumb. The first two movies were okay…. But now it seems so ridiculous there is not point. Umbrella is trying to make a weapon. But for what if the whole world is gone? It doesn’t make any sense. Why try to create a weapon when there is nothing to kill. The world is all zombies. It just does not make any sense…. Even with the action with people fighting it seems so fake. So cheesy. I am just so upset I spent $3.95 on renting this movie. Jeez how do people like this absurd movie.
