What starts as a clever approach to exploring cults and sacrifices devolves into a bunch of nonsensical, generic scares that never really culminated with anything satisfying.

It's a horror thriller with some interesting elements and a nice twist halfway through. But, it's where the film goes after the twist that makes it just another direct-to-video "B" horror flick.

"Satanic" almost redeems itself by the tense, mind-twisting finale, but goes limp in its final anticlimactic frames.

Satanic doesn't bring anything new to the table, and it doesn't want to either. [Full review in Spanish]

15 minutes in and I was hoping the Asian character would get his ass kicked by anyone or molested by a chimpanzee. He was so annoying. Seriously dumb to go after the bald guy from the Voodoo shop. Who would do that? The guy almost knifed someone earlier in the day and you want to confront him with two girls, one jock and a skinny Goth guy? 30 minutes was all I could watch.
