Gen X and millennials will eat up the references and ratchet-ass tom foolery. But the film is too reminiscent of its predecessors to fully connect with Gen Z — and as the ending suggests, maybe it doesn’t care to.

felt more like a cash grab than a desire for any of the cast to come back. it didn't have the same appeal as the original cast in the initial films. it was funnier when they were teenagers.
