Funny in a quirky character sort of way but also very heartwarming. Its got a sports theme but much deeper than that. Great family or date night movie. My wife was lukewarm going in - not into sports much - but loved it.

Took a long time to get where it was going, ended with the feel good, but had a lot of needless scenes that didn’t need to be there, like more than half the movie. Only reason to get through it was because you knew it would end well. Concept was nice, especially with what it going on with college football today, but the story line and the execution was very spotty. Could have been done so much better
