Scott G. @rominato Jan 8 I love this movie. It’s silly, light movie fluff for sure, but for us it is winter time comfort food. My daughter and I watch it together every year. Dean Jones is his usual entertaining self, and the rest of the cast do a great job here. See more Mike S 01/19/2025 A charming and funny Disney movie from the early 70’s. Knowing the premise of the movie before watching it, I was looking forward to the story. I was disappointed that most of the time was spent on screwball comedy and slapstick instead of character development and the family working together to fix up the hotel. They get into financial trouble and instead of earning the money they get by through a legal technicality that seems to be tacked on at the end. The ending ls lame and a half. Dean Jones again plays a good goofball comedy lead, he seems typecast at this point. There is a subplot with the daughter falling for a local duffus that goes nowhere.
