This drama builds tension well, demonstrating yet again that Lifetime has the formula down for presenting dramatized true stories about the horrifying and shocking things humans can do to each other. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 3d Stolen Baby: The Murder of Heidi Broussard had the foundation for a compelling true-crime drama, but the final result feels surprisingly flat and underdeveloped. Despite the shocking real-life case behind it, the film never fully captures the emotional weight, tension, or urgency needed to make the story land. Instead, it moves through events in a restrained, almost detached way that keeps it from becoming truly gripping. Emily Osment delivers a strong performance and brings credibility to her role, helping elevate scenes that otherwise feel thin. However, even her work cannot overcome the limitations of a weak screenplay. The story misses opportunities to explore deeper emotional and psychological layers, often feeling like a surface-level retelling rather than a cinematic interpretation. The ending is especially flat, arriving without a strong emotional payoff or buildup. Overall, the film is watchable but bland, lacking the depth and impact needed to make it memorable. See more Jeremy N @RT10082344 4d Worst acting I have seen in years. They are capable of making a true story feel so fake. Don’t wast your time. See more Poojan J. @pjhaveri 6d It was a good background movie and interesting story See more Kathryn H @Buggs09 May 25 Who the hell picked the actors in this movie ? Horrible ! not even 10 min in and I already changed it. See more Lisa W @Justamoviel0ver May 23 Not a bad true story rendition. Ian Lake was probably the biggest distraction for me. His acting is awful. He wasn't convincing as a struggling father and husband. On the other hand, Emily Osment did a great job. Overall, the story is well told. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life May 21 I'll say it again I love movies based on true stories. Emily osment gave a great performance as Magen. Ian Did an amazing job as well. The movie is so heartbreaking and sad. Tells the story of a supposed best friend kidnapping and murdering Heidi and keeping lily as her own. Jealousy and mental health played a big part in this for sure. I'm happy Magen got what she deserved. Tim Treakle See more Read all reviews
