The story was incredibly heartfelt and touches on important themes like growing up, friendship, families falling and the future. All the girls were great, but the girl that played Daisy truly stood out. She managed, with so little words, to convey her emotions. She totally pulled the camera and had a unique screen presence. Lake Bell executed a really tough role, the neglectful alcoholic mother, without us hating her. She managed to still garner our sympathy. This is a tough line to walk and she did it flawlessly. I appreciated the slow pace of the movie as it allowed the characters to develop and actually wouldn't mind another 15 min or so to let it build up some more. I loved the story and I especially loved the scene where the girls talk about what they want to do when they grow up, it was funny and heartbreaking at the same time. I wanted to just hug them. I will never look at a UPS driver the same way:) I laughed, I cried, what more can I ask from 87 minutes and $13. Best deal I've gotten in a while. See more Read all reviews
