Ex-covert operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen), are enjoying a reconciliation when Lenore is brutally murdered. Bryan is framed for the crime and flees, with the CIA, FBI and police all in hot pursuit. For the last time, he channels his rage and particular set of skills into hunting down Lenore's real killers, taking his revenge and protecting the one important thing left in his life: his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace).

Hampered by toothless PG-13 action sequences, incoherent direction, and a hackneyed plot, Taken 3 serves as a clear signal that it's well past time to retire this franchise.

There's something sluggishly formulaic about the rollout of smackdowns, chase scenes and general mayhem involving wrecked cars. And a plot point involving warm bagels is downright ludicrous.

Not nearly as bad as critics make it out to be. The editing could have use more work and story isn't very original seeing how rather similar it was to the fugitive. Still, I enjoyed it mainly because we see more interaction with Bryan's Friends and his daughter. Action still cool despite some editing problems, acting still great from everyone, and the story while unoriginal, was still enjoyable enough to kept me watching.

As a die-hard Liam Neeson fan and someone who generally enjoys these kinds of movies, Taken 3 is definitely watchable. That said, it’s not a very good movie. At its best, it’s a mediocre ripoff of The Fugitive. Not all of the action scenes are as bad as people say, but some of them absolutely are. The editing in a few of the chase scenes is just terrible. The worst part of the movie, though, is the writing. It’s just awful. The number of plot holes and inconsistencies makes it borderline unbelievable. If you’re not an action movie fan or a Liam Neeson fan, you’re better off staying away.

Nahhhh. This movie is not it. The editing is janky and the characters are dull. The first and even second Taken film were much better.
