The Front Room is labeled as psychological horror, but it felt much more like a black comedy. The audience seemed to agree, with plenty of bouts of laughter in unison. I was entertained, but overall this movie was lukewarm.

A trippy and sometimes relatable dark comedy/psychological thriller that dragged just a tiny bit here and there but was overall a very original concept. The actor who played the overbearing religious stepmother did an excellent job transforming into a genuinely creepy figure despite being elderly and mostly unable to perform any remotely strenuous physical acts. Absolutely loved the ending too.

The Front Room demonstrates the true horrors of relationship, in-laws, and giving birth, but the execution of the film was not fully completed with exploitation of elderly with no real payoff.
