Critics Consensus

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) attempts to weave in social commentary but as the movie wears on, it loses its ability to repulse and shock and ends up obnoxious and annoying.

monochrome mise en scne and surrealist flourishes more reminiscent of Eraserhead and Bad Boy Bubby than of anything in conventional horror. Go to Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard Nov 4, 2011

There are echoes of David Lynch's Eraserhead during the more scary, nightmarish moments but Six soon resorts to shock tactics. Go to Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Nov 3, 2011

This wearisome sequel to the yucky cult shocker, by Dutch horror maestro Tom Six, brings the Human Centipede franchise straight to what can only be called its "Godfather 4" stage. Go to Full Review David Day Horror Movie Talk Sep 23, 2025

The enjoyment of The Human Centipede 2 lies in the shock value and the commitment to depravity. The version we watched was in black and white, which added a whole other level of gritty grossness to the already disgusting experience. Go to Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Sep 9, 2025

Whatever nonsensical artistic rationalization Six uses to justify The Human Centipede 2, the result leaves you feeling empty and flat, if annoyed by its lack of substance and scares. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Dominick C @RT95041678 4 days ago guys, I watched human centipede 1, and for your mental health, I definitely wouldn't recommend any of the sequences, I am still disturbed, so if your thinking about watching it, please, please, pleaseeeee DON'T. See more Cinema S @cinema_sensei Sep 24, 2026 The Human Centipede 2 crosses the line so far that it becomes difficult to see the point beyond shock and disgust. It is disturbing, graphic, and deliberately unpleasant in ways that made the whole experience feel more exhausting than entertaining. I understand that the extreme content is intentional, but for me, pushing boundaries this hard doesn't automatically make a movie meaningful or effective. There are some films that are disturbing because they have something important to say, but this one was simply too much for me. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Just avoid this movie. See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 22, 2026 The Human Centipede II = a *1* star Movie! WHY WOULD YOU MAKE THREE OF THESE MOVIES!?!??!! the worst part was the SA with the barbed wire like i thought i was gonna cry i had to skip like that’s just dreadful the writer must be so perverted or straight up evil to make this cuz wtf See more ROQUE M @RT96558053 Sep 13, 2026 I’ve lost faith in humanity.
