To the extent the film has appeal, it is of the tabloid variety. Go to Full Review

It’s quite a shortcoming when a documentary avoids so many elements of its own story that it proves less comprehensive and compelling than a Ryan Murphy drama. Go to Full Review

While the doc may have benefitted from clarifying that Abramson would not appear at the offset, seeing how Pam Bozanich remains fully convinced of the brothers' guilt is fascinating Go to Full Review

Thus, the documentary seeks to convey an event and provoke a critical conversation about the nature of the crime and the circumstances surrounding it. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

You can make your own verdict while the brothers await word on a petition to vacate their convictions, but you might want to collect evidence from beyond this partial production. Go to Full Review

Problem S @AImost_Practical Dec 25 This mini series encouraged me to take a deeper look into these brothers lives. Upon learning more, and upon reading more about this series, I had to admit that I believe this series very poorly portrays these brothers and the struggles they faced. This is a fiction and it came at the cost of two abused brothers. I'm upset and ashamed that Netflix monetized and exaggerated the agonizing story of these teens. And, so I indulged in this doc - and, I was utterly shocked. The sensitive themes discussed now with an unbiased, open-minded perspective of these current times compared to the 80s - were much needed. Many missteps and this tragic story... I'm really glad one of the most well-known crime stories has been given a chance to tell all sides with the defendants themselves, credible witnesses and mounts of footage in full with an empathetic lens, that was not present when the original events took place. Re-writing the narrative, focusing on what truly matters - this film seamlessly walked us through almost 100+ worth of history surrounding a supposed nuclear family and the lengthly subsequent trials with grace and insight. Must watch for those who are interested~! See more Kevin R @Kevin199 Mar 2 Very dark and depressing true story crime drama about the two brothers who were relentlessly sexually abused by their cruel and merciless father throughout their childhood and entire teenhood. They were neglected by their mother who did absolutely nothing to protect them from him which led to them killing their parents. The movie is very intense and heartbreaking. I absolutely feel for the brothers and am absolutely appalled by all the negative reviews dehumanizing the Menendez brothers. Gender bias has definitely got to play a big role in all of the negativity. This movie is extremely well acted and well made. One of the best lifetime movies. I can’t believe the jury was stupid enough to find them guilty. I’m sure all the negative reviewers siding with the prosecutors would’ve done the same thing too if they were in the Menendez brothers’ shoes. See more Christin L 01/10/2025 This movie didn't do the menedez brothers any justice in what happened to them and what they lived through. not only did the writer some what sexulized the relation of the brothers in a weird way they managed to make the worst people look like victims in some sick story. Yall are forgetting that this isn't just some movie these brothers actually lived through this. Next time you think about making a movie based off of other people's life traumas don't See more Read all reviews
