The Possession of Hannah Grace isn't the kind of bad movie that warrants midnight screenings and rowdy crowds; it's the kind of bad movie that quietly fades from memory, leaving the world no better and no worse than if it had never existed to begin with. See more sam J @UrsulaJ May 4 The film was aesthetically pleasing with excellent lighting, and the female leads including the nurse delivered impressive performances. The character of Daddy could have had a longer presence to better develop the exorcism angle, while the security guard provided great comic relief. Placing the exorcism in the middle of the story with added creepiness, as some viewers suggested, might have enhanced the overall effect. The demon just is, and becomes a was—or so we hope, since we have no idea what happens to the demon if Hannah's corpse is just burned to hell, or how her father knows all that he knows. The beginning was paced well, although Megan had a shitty backstory. Towards the middle, everything was too rushed for the viewers to even keep up, on top of all the dark filming and minimal logic. The direction, though extremely repetitive, was appreciably good. I am someone who is the least bothered even by the finest of horror movies, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The sensor-based lights are seriously brilliant and annoying at the same time, because who the f*** keeps that sh** in a morgue?? Shay Mitchell absolutely owned the part, and Kirby Johnson—MY LORD!
