It's a chance to watch Pearce and his remarkable cheekbones and gleeful weirdness at work with a scripture-chewing performance that puts a lot of meat on what could have been an off-the-peg turn from a lesser actor.

Sadly, The Seventh Day can't muster much in the way of anything near that and instead opts to be a dull meditation on what goes into having faith. Considering the power of Christ compels us – it's not that compelling.

Mixing the subject matter of The Exorcist with the structure of Training Day is a pretty intriguing starting place for a movie, but Lange unfortunately struggles at times to make the most out of these unconventional ingredients.

We were unable to watch this movie because they sent us to the wrong theater, as we were walking in on the door it said that was the movie to be showing in theater 10 but that was theater 01 they marked it wrong

Good movie. The progression of a priest. The end hints to a sequel. Would have been great during Halloween. Recommended.

What on earth is Guy Pearce doing in this mostly awful movie. While some thought provoking theological questions are brought up, most of should be very interesting does not go much of anywhere due to faulty screenwriting and directing. The voices placed on the possessed child are a laugh. I hope Pearce once again chooses his work wisely.
