See more KarthiK P. @madkarthi Jul 21 It is a surprisingly well-made film. It just gets me right into the world. I followed the flow and never got distracted. I felt what they felt and watched how they went from friendship to enemies. I like the visuals and the nice production values. ​Jonah Hill is amazing. He low key looks like Al Capone and acted so nice with his weird laugh. I like the Scarface reference from the posters and in the movie itself. Miles Teller is also amazing as always. He did his best for his role as a good actor. ​I did not have any idea Ana de Armas was in the film. When I first saw her in the film I was surprised. She is just amazing and so beautiful as always. The whole true story was nicely shown. I did not have any idea about the real story and have not searched anything. Whatever the case it is an amazing film on a nice 4K Blu-ray. Miles Teller was great in the movie, though. There were some moments that were really funny to it, and the story was pretty good, based on a real one, nonetheless. See more Jagdpanzer T @RT44446946 Jul 5 It executes on the "crime doesn't pay" movie template with paint-by-numbers precision, and as a result seems like a retread of much better movies. Think of it as a sort of poor man's 'The Wolf of Wallstreet'. Jonah Hill's character is greedy to the point of being nonsensical and as a result his decisions cease to make any sense about halfway through the film. The effect here is enough to break immersion at times, and sort of sours the whole experience. I would only recommend this to fans of the genre. See more Jack L @RT22102532 Jul 2 War Dogs is a very fun biopic anchored by two excellent lead performances from Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, whose chemistry carries the film from start to finish. It strikes a strong balance between sharp humour and an important cautionary tale about the seductive allure of wealth and the consequences of chasing it at any cost. While it doesn't break much new ground and certainly drags in a few places, I still had a great time watching it overall. See more Read all reviews
