Ron J @RT47696882 Sep 23, 2026 What Dreams May Come is a breathtaking film about love, loss, grief, and the bond that reaches beyond death. Robin Williams brings a deep tenderness to Chris, a man who refuses to accept that death can end his connection with the woman he loves. The film paints the afterlife as a place shaped by memory, longing, and the people we carry within us. Its greatest strength is the love between Chris and Annie, a love that faces the darkest places and still reaches for hope. What Dreams May Come reminds us that when we love someone with our whole heart, even death cannot make them a stranger. We carry them with us, in every dream, every memory, and every breath. See more TWMax65 T @RT38199094 Jul 13, 2026 While it is a bit sappy at times and while it is extra sad because of what happened to Robin Williams 16 years later while considering the subject matter, it was undoubtedly a beautiful movie for the most part. Some of the effects don’t hold up much anymore, but the plot and writing were original and I thought Robin Williams acted very well. His movies always felt special, plus the actress who played his wife in the movie was very beautiful. I mostly enjoyed it! The film representation of a possible after life was enough because it was like something I'd never seen before or have since. The sheer artistry of it was enough. I've since read the book and the superb mish mash in my memory means my first guess was good but lacking in the finer points of interpretation. I therefore thoroughly reccomend finding the book which, incidentally, I didn't think was as good as the film. If nothing else its an excuse to try again to locate a copy so you can watch it again. The visuals are stunning and deserved the Academy Award! One of the best and one of the most romantic movies ever made. See more Monika S @RT48008645 May 1, 2026 Fantastic. To write everything that makes this a master film, it would take forever. I'll keep it short: it's in my top 10. See more Read all reviews
