Kevin works because it’s not just leaning on gags. It really tries to put its characters and stories in a position to be funny without leaning on gags, which makes the gags funny instead of fatiguing to watch.

Funny, gross, with a lot of heart and a perfect cast. I was looking for something, anything to cheer me up a bit. This was a tonic. The line from Patti LuPone about And Just Like That will live in my head rent free. Standouts were the cat party episode, the Fourth of July, anything with LuPone and Waters, and Aparna Nancherla as Judy steals almost every scene.

I made it 12mins before turning it off. Nobody needs ANOTHER comedy about woke idiots with millennial insecurities. Especially with modern city "animals" that are just surrogates for tired actors doing the same goofy voices for as long as 30+ years in some cases. When talented people come up with stuff this bad, it makes you question how long ago they stopped being talented, just coasting through the industry, using up good will with their connections.
