But the story was entirely too long and the characters behaviors made zero sense. The big climax was predictable and not worth the slow pace of 8 episodes. I'm not immortal, but the (incorrect) positive reviews will be due to the internet. While most of the casting could be seen as brilliant, we cannot say the same of the lack of imagination with the multi-death ending and the numerous open ended questions per the last few episodes. This 8 episode series could have flourished as a 2.5 hour movie. However, the hot off the press over inflated egos of the producers, proved not every production is a success. I'd hope they'd caught on after their last season (5), I guess not. This story line was new and imaginative however the red herrings were more of dead ends than clever misdirection.
