Blue Moon (2025) Tony Medley A movie about Hart attending the Oklahoma! after party which he did not attend, is tedious, despite a good performance by Hawke, Why make a fictional film about a talented lyricist when there is so much truth to tell?

Anniversary (2025) Tony Medley The directing and acting are outstanding and the tense story inexorably grows more dystopian as it slowly dissolves into its climax.

The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue (2025) Tony Medley This is a film of compelling, selfless heroism that will keep you glued to your seats.

Riefenstahl (2024) Tony Medley ...a fascinating film about a woman of whom many have heard, but few have known.

Relay (2024) Tony Medley This has all a thriller wants: danger, an ingenious plot, and a convoluted denouement.

Stolen Time (2023) Tony Medley ...reveals the tawdry, untold story about for-profit nursing homes in Canada. This is a movie that everyone should see if they are considering going into a nursing home or committing a relative to one.

The Accountant 2 (2025) Tony Medley Although this could be considered damning with faint praise, given the appalling quality of today’s movies, it is one of the more entertaining films I’ve had to sit through so far this year.

Black Bag (2025) Tony Medley With an A-list cast, even though it is almost esoterically mysterious, it is captivatingly enticing.

The Quiet Ones (2025) Tony Medley The first 2/3 is slow and offputting until the actions starts when the actual heist gets going.

Bogart: Life Comes in Flashes (2024) Tony Medley Bogie telling his own story in his own words, along with those of friends and co-workers, this captures his complex personality as never before seen. Whether or not you are a Bogie fan, it’s one not to be missed.

Lee (2023) Tony Medley The method of telling the story is brilliant. An older Lee is interviewed by an unidentified younger man. She tells her story in flashbacks. When it ended, I was stunned. Not just one of the best movies of the year, it's one of the best of the Century,

Finding The Money (2024) Tony Medley interesting and thought-provoking on how money works...Or is it nonsense? One of the best parts of the film is when Kelton interviews Jared Bernstein, Biden's economic czar whose mumbling, stumbling response leads to the conclusion he's way over his head

Wicked Little Letters (2023) Tony Medley It's a terrific true story with sparkling performances by Colman, Buckley, and Spall; one of the best films of the year so far despite its sexism and offensive woke presentism casting of one part.

Argylle (2024) Tony Medley ...convoluted and absurd...Howard is woefully miscast as a martial arts heroine as her zaftig physique (5-7, 139) makes her fighting scenes unintentionally laughable.

Merchant Ivory (2023) Tony Medley ...an interesting look at what goes into and along with the production of the movies told by the principals and a plethora of actors and crew who worked with them.

Cocaine Bear (2023) Tony Medley This bear is amazing. II you want an escape from what’s going on in the world today, don’t miss this one because it is a delight. In fact, I’m still laughing. There were several scenes that put me into convulsions.

Bullet Train (2022) Tony Medley Convoluted and annoying from the start, it's nothing but quisiquilious tarradiddle filled with graphic violence played for laughs...Lots of people are out to kill other people but they deal with each other in an oh, so friendly and joking manner; ugh!

Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) Tony Medley I was on the verge of tears throughout the first half hour. As the film progressed, I just kept getting deeper. And deeper. totally immersed...a murder mystery wrapped in a thriller surrounded by romance...This is, truly, a movie for all seasons.

Cry Macho (2021) Tony Medley This is compelling in its simplicity and underlying moral decency. Despite the disparity in their ages, the charisma between Clint and Natalia Traven is palpable.

The Phantom (2021) Tony Medley ...an indictment of attorneys, and they deserve it...makes a pretty persuasive case for Deluna's innocence...truth that could have been discovered with a little diligence.

Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It (2021) Tony Medley While it tells the story of her struggle to succeed, it is overwhelmed by scenes that are not positive to her character, even though they are not intended as such.

Lansky (2021) Tony Medley Despite inaccurate Hollywood flourishes this is an entertaining and interesting movie capturing the cold-hearted evil that was present in this outwardly mild-mannered man.

Cruella (2021) Tony Medley The delights of this movie are the over-the-top performances of the Emmas Stone and Thompson, both overacting with a vengeance that it seems both enjoy.

The Kingmaker (2019) Tony Medley This is an enlightening, scary film of Imelda Marcos and today's Philippine nation. I don't know how much to believe, but it's a film I highly recommend; judge for yourself.

7/10
Pavarotti (2019) Tony Medley Howard's whitewashed version is entertaining enough, but it would have been better had it told the whole story, the negative with the positive.

Tolkien (2019) Tony Medley Burdened by lots of scenes of dubious authenticity and a ghastly slow pace, the acting is good, and it's an interesting take on someone of whom most know very little.
