What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Madison may not be an all-inclusive stay, but it offers a top-tier Michelle Pfeiffer, beautiful East Coast locations, and an expansion of the Taylor Sheridan universe, which is satisfying enough.

Michelle Pfeiffer enters the Taylor Sheridan universe in stellar form even when he sinks her in a Montana vs Manhattan grudge match that’ll bore you breathless. Go to Full Review

The storytelling is a kind of magical realism for traditional conservatives. Go to Full Review

A languid meditation on retirement stuffed with cloying aphorisms and thuddingly simplistic depictions of grief. Go to Full Review

Taylor Sheridan scores again with this saga about the Clyburns. Superficially, there's lots of urban vs. rural conflict. Thematically, it's all about responsibility and relationships. Propelling the plot, Michelle Pfeiffer is magnificent. Go to Full Review

This is a touching drama that will hit you emotionally and gut-wrenchingly, but will also leave you wanting to take stock of your own family and relationships. Go to Full Review

If you are capable of this kind of insight and this level of empathy, it becomes a choice not to apply it to all your characters and locations. And that’s an ugly choice to make. Go to Full Review

Jack H @RT74339580 1h Another typical Sheridan series where the women are generally the intelligent strong characters and the men are portrayed as feminine and weak minded See more John F. @mooovieMan 2h Just when I thought I was sick of Taylor Sheridan. Boom!!! here comes another snoozer. suffered through the first episode and decided this was so typical of his type of shows. All fluff. You have been warned See more Jill A @jitylu 5h The story is really interesting. The characters have realistic personalities. It's sensitive, well thought out, interesting subject matter, beautiful to watch. I think Michelle Pfeiffer is amazing. When I get drawn into a TV show and find myself NOT criticizing the characters or the ridiculousness of the story, that is how I rate a show. I give this show 5 stars because it meets all the criteria that I always hope to find in a TV series. See more A C @Alaska2026 8h Down to earth, Michelle Pfeiffer is everyone's Mother, coping with the loss of her best friend and lover. In the midst of her grief she now reflects on past exchanges had with her husband who tried, at every chance he could, to relate to her the peace and tranquility she could have experienced had she chosen to introduce Montana to the family. Embroiled in her "busy" life of glamour and frivolity in New York City, she now regrets , deeply, her decision, having not introduced this beautiful, meaningful place that she finally discovers, only after her husbands death. The changes that play out in her very spoiled daughters lives during the first week after her husbands passing , highlight this Montana oasis to have been the remedy they needed all along. The scenery, acting, storyline absolutely incredible. My husband and I enjoyed this immensely. Families from all walks of life can take a lesson from the morals learnt here. Can't wait for season 2 ! See more Ted P. @RT80963787 1d Didn’t expect too much out of this show. Glad I am pleasantly surprised! Looks like Taylor Sheridan has another winner! See more Courtney T. @RT51918089 1d Michelle Pfeiffer & Spence are outstanding and the writing is something special. I loved all 6 episodes. Seriously, though? Only 6 episodes?!?!
