The Rip (2026) 80% 3/4 EDIT “The Rip is a consistently tense, heated, ramped-up thriller of the highest order and a great excuse to see Damon and Affleck sharing the screen once again...” – Third Coast Review Jan 16, 2026 Full Review 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) 92% 3.5/4 EDIT “Director DaCosta has done something remarkable in her Rage Virus entry, in that she’s made a film that is uniquely her own while still incorporating a bit of the style and technique used by Boyle in the past.” – Third Coast Review Jan 16, 2026 Full Review Greenland 2: Migration (2026) 51% 2/4 EDIT “I’m not saying the movie is great or even good, but it is a fascinating take on the apocalypse, so I’ll give them points for originality...but not on much else.” – Third Coast Review Jan 12, 2026 Full Review The Voice of Hind Rajab (2025) 95% 3.5/4 EDIT “With a furious pace, emotionally driven tension, and heightened, unforgettable performances, The Voice of Hind Rajab is one of the more unforgettable and harrowing experiences you’ll have in this or any year.” – Third Coast Review Jan 12, 2026 Full Review Rosemead (2025) 89% 3/4 EDIT “The film isn’t going to sit well with many, but it is based on a painfully true story, so you can’t exactly fault the moviemakers for making bad story choices.” – Third Coast Review Jan 10, 2026 Full Review People We Meet on Vacation (2026) 75% 2.5/4 EDIT “The two leads charmed me—alone and together—and while I’m not sure I could handle a vacation with either of them, I could easily handle a couple of hours.” – Third Coast Review Jan 10, 2026 Full Review Dead Man's Wire (2025) 91% 3/4 EDIT “Leaning heavily into the 1970s of it all, Van Sant clearly uses Dog Day Afternoon as an inspiration, but makes this story his own with Skarsgård absolutely dominating the landscape.” – Third Coast Review Jan 10, 2026 Full Review Elie Wiesel: Soul on Fire (2024) 3/4 EDIT “The cumulative impact of Soul on Fire is exiting the film feeling as if we’ve spent time with the subject, in both personal and professional settings...” – Third Coast Review Jan 9, 2026 Full Review Goodbye June (2025) 65% 2.5/4 EDIT “Maybe not the ideal Christmas movie to watch with the family, but a solid first effort from Winslet as filmmaker.” – Third Coast Review Dec 26, 2025 Full Review Cover-Up (2025) 98% 3.5/4 EDIT “As much as I love the skill and detail-oriented work that clearly went into piecing together Cover-Up, I could have just sat there and listened to Hersh talk to the camera for two hours.” – Third Coast Review Dec 26, 2025 Full Review Anaconda (2025) 48% 2.5/4 EDIT “Anaconda has a lot of energy, a PG-13 rating (as the original did), and highly likable actors playing characters who are easy to root for. ” – Third Coast Review Dec 26, 2025 Full Review Marty Supreme (2025) 93% 4/4 EDIT “This film rarely takes its foot off the gas or gives us time to catch our collective breath. And I was fully along for every anxiety-laden minute.” – Third Coast Review Dec 26, 2025 Full Review Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) 66% 3/4 EDIT “...for some of us, it’s boring, despite the technological splendor of it all.” – Third Coast Review Dec 19, 2025 Full Review The Housemaid (2025) 74% 2.5/4 EDIT “I found Seyfried quite enjoyable as the rich socialite with anger-management issues, Sklenar is unbearably bland, and Sweeney, while easy on the eyes, continues to confound me as an actress.” – Third Coast Review Dec 19, 2025 Full Review Ella McCay (2025) 22% 1.5/4 EDIT “Mackey is an actor I’ve really enjoyed in recent films, but Brooks has absolutely let her down with this empty, unsubstantial, purposeless work ” – Third Coast Review Dec 16, 2025 Full Review Dust Bunny (2025) 85% 3/4 EDIT “thankfully, the twisted fun is maintained by everyone throughout, and that helps bring the film in for a satisfying landing” – Third Coast Review Dec 16, 2025 Full Review Influencers (2025) 96% 2.5/4 EDIT “Much like the first film, the strength of Influencers is the performances. ” – Third Coast Review Dec 16, 2025 Full Review 100 Nights of Hero (2025) 68% 2.5/4 EDIT “The film has a visual language that is strikingly beautiful, and the story never takes itself too seriously, never missing an opportunity to remind us that Manfred’s rather obvious, lustful passes at Cherry are way off base.” – Third Coast Review Dec 5, 2025 Full Review The New Yorker at 100 (2025) 64% 3/4 EDIT “But the most captivating portions of the film are just watching the highly refined process of piecing together each issue and how Remnick takes the time to oversee every element in what appears to be a even-tempered manner...” – Third Coast Review Dec 5, 2025 Full Review Steve Schapiro: Being Everywhere (2025) 3/4 EDIT “Steve Schapiro: Being Everywhere elegantly profiles an artist who was at the crossroads of culture, news, and humanity, and it’s nearly as memorable as the man himself.” – Third Coast Review Dec 5, 2025 Full Review Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) 92% 3.5/4 EDIT “I hope [Johnson] and Craig make these until they’re old and gray.” – Third Coast Review Dec 2, 2025 Full Review Hamnet (2025) 86% 4/4 EDIT “Hamnet is easily one of the best things you’ll see this year, but it will require a great deal out of its audiences emotionally and creatively, as any great work should.” – Third Coast Review Dec 2, 2025 Full Review Zootopia 2 (2025) 91% 3/4 EDIT “Zootopia 2 is a surprisingly complex maze of mystery, which is not to say that younger audiences won’t be able to follow—they will. ” – Third Coast Review Dec 2, 2025 Full Review The Family Plan 2 (2025) 31% 2/4 EDIT “Working from a thin script by David Coggeshall, returning director Simon Cellan Jones deals with the shifting dynamics of a family whose children are becoming adults with the subtlety of a wooden mallet to the cranium. ” – Third Coast Review Dec 2, 2025 Full Review Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025) 60% 1.5/4 EDIT “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is basically just two generations of magicians ribbing each other and planning elaborate tricks that are seemingly impossible” – Third Coast Review Dec 2, 2025 Full Review
