Logic is in short supply. Burned-out cities have electricity, for example. My favorite: A hangar full of jets, buried under 1,000 years of dust, not only fire up instantly but still have full tanks of gas.

Not awful, but pretty bad. A third-string Planet of the Apes meets Star Trek, Battlefield Earth is a largely uninspiring sci-fi adventure with a Swiss-cheese plot.

Nothing so entertaining, albeit in none of the right ways, should scrape WOAT status. It's not even one of the 10 worst films from 2000, a distressingly dunderheaded year for movies in general after one of the best ever.

Not so much a bad movie as a stupid one. A ridiculous plot full of holes, marred by idiotic contrivances, bad acting and a cast of actors who really should have known much better. A must watch for aspiring film-makers as an example of what should not be done, otherwise this is a film without redemption. The only thing to look forward to in this movie is the end credits.

A film unfit for even man-animal. I can often overlook what others deem as major flaws as long as the setting and plot provide adequate immersion; but when you add bad CGI, poor dialogue, and Travolta’s horrible acting, it equates to a crime against cinema that is impossible to overcome.

ive been hearing and reading so much about how bad this film is so out of curiousity and that i love sci fi.ive just watched it and felt that i really must stick up for this film coz i really enjoyed it and got into the story.some people say they enjoy it for how bad it is but i really dont think its bad at all and i watch a whole lot of movies so please dont be put off this movie.give it a watch.

So awful, but still gets a star and a half because the story is silly and entertaining in a nerd sci fi way, they obviously put a big budget into it, but the whole time I am wondering just how much these filmmakers went through without any actors or producers saying “seriously what are we doing here….”
