This is a mad mixture of maniacs, music, and murder. The random zaniness and blood-soaked brutality elevate this from B-grade schlock to instant cult classic. Expect to have an awesomely chaotic, violent romp through the countryside. Go to Full Review

Chainsaws Were Singing feels destined to be one of those movies you watch with friends at midnight, whether on the couch or in a packed movie house. It’s a riotous ball of a movie, and fans of weird horror and even weirder musicals should not miss it. Go to Full Review

Sure, it may be too long, too violent, too naughty, and definitely too musical, but it’s exactly what makes this movie an unforgettable event that will completely alter your perception of cinema as soon as its credits roll. Go to Full Review

Filled with genuine cinematic ingenuity and an infectious love for the horror-musical genre, this midnight indie is a celebration of underground cinema. It's a madcap comedy splatterfest that’s best experienced with a rowdy audience. Go to Full Review

Shot in Estonia back in 2013, the world wasn’t ready for "Chainsaws Were Singing," so the filmmakers waited 11 years to release it. Frankly, the world may still not be ready. Go to Full Review

Logan D Dec 15 Two lovers get attacked by a chainsaw wielding maniac and things spiral from there. An absurdist runaway train splatter musical comedy. It's incoherent and knowingly self aware with exaggerated gore via DIY effects. You are either in on the joke or you are not. It was actually filmed 11 years ago and legend says the producers weren't sure the world was ready for it. I'd say it still might not be. I was mildly entertained and there were a few laugh out loud moments for me. Should've cut about a half hour as it wears out before the end. Also, apparently cars explode often in Estonia.
