See more 07/23/2008 This is an awesome documentary that shows a rarely seen facet of war: the effects on the actual people living in the occupied and war torn areas. Armed with his guitar and an arsenal of peace-promoting songs, Michael Franti travels to Iraq and the Israeli occupied areas of Palestine to share his music and to show us sheltered people how real lives are affected by war. It's gut-wrenching (of course), but it is also very inspiring as we see that even people who have lost everything still have a glimmer of hope in their eyes and in their hearts.
