Jack K. @JackJack79 6d I freaking love this movie. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s funny, weird, mysterious and a little bit sexy at times. It’s based on Polynesian mythology but told from the point of view of an outsider on vacation in Hawaii. Well shot with great performances, especially from Jamie Kennedy, who plays a fun character similar to the movie expert character he played in Scream nearly 30 years ago. If you like Jamie, or Hawaii, or unique independent films that have something to say about the world around us, you’ll like this movie. Oh, and the twist ending is really fun! I don’t leave review but damn want my time back yo See more Bob S @Golfer90pro Dec 20 What was this? Who directed it? How does this stuff get made? Questions we will never know. Need my time back. This is why I miss cable. Could turn the Channel back then and now you commit to watching something and have to log out and into another app. Idk what this was. Skip it and turn off devices or go back to Netflix See more Missy M Nov 20 Namaka is such an intriguing and captivating film. I loved how the ending pulled everything together and made me want to rewatch the beginning with a new perspective. Amazing job! See more Earl A Nov 12 This isn't some big Hollywood production, it's a small independent film with a lot to say about fantasy versus reality. It's a slow burn with a big payoff at the end. Fantastic performances from the entire ensemble cast, but especially the two leads, they look and act like the gorgeous Hollywood stars of yesteryear. There's a charming, vintage aspect to this film that I can't get out of my head. Worth a re-watch for the music alone. As the saying goes... they just don't make movies like they used to... but this one is the exception that proves the rule. See more T C Oct 10 A hypnotic, slow-building thriller that trades jump scares for mythic tension. Stick with it — the payoff is worth the undertow. See more Read all reviews
