moss @Kirk-a-tron67 Dec 16 It perfectly shows how federalism in the U.S. has never truly gone away, thanks to the Federal Government overstepping the boundaries of the Interstate Commerce Clause. The gripping narrative of the misuse of the Elastic Clause holds your attention through the film. The film opens as he gets charged Federally for the "Gun Free Schools Act". He believed that the act was a misuse of Implied Powers, so he decides to take his case all the way to the top, the Supreme Court. The ruling of the case rules as a Majority Opinon— 5/4 with lopez winning— which absolutely rules!!!!!!!!!!! The film closes off with the precedent set; Congress can’t regulate gun control. This film is remarkable for detailing the impact of a case which establishes the powers of Congress in a way that hadn’t before, limiting them to follow the ideals the founding fathers have in mind for their power over the United States, and legislature that follows. Overall, this movie was completely a waste of my time. 0/10.
