Diana S Nov 18 While I found this movie fairly derivative and heavy-handed with dark Wizard of Oz imagery, which I dare say has become passe at this point in the process, it's better than most of the tripe out there and totally worth watching. For my money though, if I had to choose, I'd take Bring Her Back over this. See more Suzi A Aug 3 I may be biased as I was in the movie as ‘the lady down the street’ however when I read the script Steven J Mihaljevich sent me I knew I was a part of a masterpiece from this man’s mind. I was privileged to have been a part of this movie. The story may seem slow at first but Steven is just stoking the fires and as the story evolves you are hooked. It is a well written story with a head punching finale, a bit like being smacked in the head. This movie is anything but predictable with a fantastic cast and crew giving their all. The ‘horror’ genre may put some off, but it is not the norm… suspenseful, sad, manic, peeking into the mind of a broken woman. Watch and see for yourself. Though the pacing was a bit slow at the start, every scene unfolds at exactly the right moment, pulling you deeper into her mind. The storytelling, performance and cinematography make you feel her emotions very vividly. This is one of those films that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll. It carries a haunting quality that reminds me of the psychological tension crafted in films such as Shutter Island.
