Stephen (2025) 4/10 EDIT “Inconsistency is both a blessing and a curse in Stephen (2025). Where its titular character breathes and weaponizes the inconsistencies in his memories, the writing flounders under the weight of its own attempts to twist and turn.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Dec 23, 2025 Full Review My Secret Santa (2025) 73% 8/10 EDIT “Once you get past the initial cringe of its opening act and settle into the Santaness of it all, the film welcomes the audience not just with its romantic sensibilities but also with its message to embrace vulnerability and let go. ” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Dec 3, 2025 Full Review Oh. What. Fun. (2025) 35% 6/10 EDIT “What the first half of Oh What Fun builds up succumbs to underwhelm in a less-than-successful second half, making what should be a fun journey into something spoon-fed.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Dec 3, 2025 Full Review Tinsel Town (2025) 47% 8/10 EDIT “This latest entry in the ever-growing holiday movie genre throws in everything but the kitchen sink. Yet, somehow, it works, and it’s great fun when it stays on course in pursuit of panto!” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Nov 28, 2025 Full Review Jingle Bell Heist (2025) 75% 7.5/10 EDIT “Romance issues aside, Jingle Bell Heist is about the heist of it all, and sometimes, that's all you need.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Nov 26, 2025 Full Review Champagne Problems (2025) 72% 8/10 EDIT “Even with its delicious tropes and inevitable end, Champagne Problems (2025) infuses a bubbly sweetness that never feels overbearing. ” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Nov 19, 2025 Full Review A Merry Little Ex-Mas (2025) 56% 6/10 EDIT “With its overt holiday aesthetic and joyfully dedicated cast, you would think this film would be a smash success. Alas, A Merry Little Ex-Mas ends up as a merry little frustration with its less-than-inspiring romance.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Nov 12, 2025 Full Review Joy to the World (2025) 4.5/10 EDIT “It’s generally never a good sign when a film is released on a platform with minimal fanfare, and unfortunately, after seeing Joy To The World (2025), it’s easy to see why. ” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Nov 4, 2025 Full Review Good News (2025) 91% 7.5/10 EDIT “Good News will leave audiences guessing about who will prevail in the end.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Oct 17, 2025 Full Review Everybody Loves Me When I'm Dead (2025) 8/10 EDIT “Tharatorn’s message rings clearly in the final moments of Everybody Loves Me When I’m Dead, with the ending wrapping everything up in a well-earned, slightly nihilistic bow. ” – InBetweenDrafts Oct 14, 2025 Full Review After the Hunt (2025) 37% 4/10 EDIT “After The Hunt fails to skim beyond the surface of its topical juggling act.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Oct 10, 2025 Full Review Honey Bunch (2025) 86% 5/10 EDIT “Honey Bunch bets big, reveling in nostalgic ’70s gothic sensibilities before taking a giant leap of faith. Unfortunately, this leap sends the film plummeting downward, never quite recovering until the end.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Mantis (2025) 7/10 EDIT “A reminder of the humanity that lies at the core of these killers is essential, and thankfully, this helps Mantis stick the landing, even with a couple of wobbles.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 26, 2025 Full Review Whitetail (2025) 90% 6.5/10 EDIT “With the scenery as much of a character as Natasha O’Keeffe’s Jen, Whitetail requires some patience as Jen wades through internal choppy waters.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 11, 2025 Full Review The Furious (2025) 100% 8.5/10 EDIT “The Furious delivers everything it promises when it comes to high-octane, balls-to-the-wall action. You can’t help but hope Wang Wei, Rainy, and Navin come out on top.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 10, 2025 Full Review The Ugly (2024) 53% 7/10 EDIT “There’s no denying Yeon Sang-ho’s The Ugly will spark conversations, with the film leaving much to think about.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 10, 2025 Full Review Obsession (2025) 97% 8.5/10 EDIT “Obsession shows Barker knows exactly how to make his audience squirm.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 6, 2025 Full Review A Useful Ghost (2025) 86% 7.5/10 EDIT “A Useful Ghost is more than its comedic-enriched premise. ” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Love Untangled (2025) 7.5/10 EDIT “While not all the tangles are sorted out, Love Untangled still presents an adorable romantic tale that hits right in the nostalgic feels.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Aug 31, 2025 Full Review Touch Me (2025) 88% 8.5/10 EDIT “Amidst the laughter and the tentacle-driven moments onscreen is something heartfelt and a little broken, making Touch Me a surprisingly deep experience.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Aug 17, 2025 Full Review Shin Godzilla (2016) 87% 8.5/10 EDIT “It is understandable how Shin Godzilla succeeded at the box office nearly a decade ago. The strength of its story still stands today.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Aug 17, 2025 Full Review Hellcat (2025) 89% 6.5/10 EDIT “While the decisions made in the film’s final act may not land, no one can deny that this film is a star-making turn for Dakota Gorman.” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Jul 26, 2025 Full Review Fragment (2024) 9.5/10 EDIT “There is an uncomfortable, little-discussed reality in this film, one that extends to all cultures. How we treat children, regardless of circumstances, is a reflection of our society, and in Fragment, the reflection is hard to digest. ” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Jul 25, 2025 Full Review Terrestrial (2025) 75% 9/10 EDIT “Juggling multiple genres and an ever-escalating plot of chaos is no easy feat. Yet, Steve Pink makes it look easy in Terrestrial (2025).” – But Why Tho? A Geek Community Jul 21, 2025 Full Review Death Does Not Exist (2025) 79% 7/10 EDIT “Death Does Not Exist (La Mort N’existe Pas) operates in the realm of the existential, where an internal debate as old as time is given new life....While the philosophical wears thin, the inevitable is brought into full focus.” – But Why Tho?
