Frankenstein (1931) Scott Nash If it was simply about a rampaging monster going around killing people, it wouldn't be remembered so well today. Instead, it takes a higher route and actually poses questions about what it means to be a monster.

Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) Scott Nash Although it was made to attract a new audience, this is a movie that's really only ever going to be of interest to fans of the original Doctor Who series. Its entertainment value to those unfamiliar with the show is bound to be limited at best.

A Star Is Born (1937) Scott Nash Although Gaynor's performance isn't as dramatically strong as Garland's, they are both classic versions of the same story. They each have plenty to recommend about them and it's hard to say which is the better version.

Wholly Moses! (1980) Scott Nash Life of Brian was protested by religious groups as heresy. Wholly Moses is silly and lowbrow enough that it never generated equal controversy. It's in every way inferior to that other film, but silly enough to provide a few cheap laughs.

Murder on the Orient Express (1974) Scott Nash As with all Agatha Christie stories, the solution to the mystery is rather ingenious. You may or may not see that solution ahead of time, but it hardly matters. The real joy in her work are the questions rather than the answer.
