Solo Mio (2026) Tony Medley a well-acted, well-directed tale with a twist. The cinematography and locations are gorgeous, worthy of a travelogue. While James and Grimaudo both give outstanding, believable performances, Hannigan, in a small role, is particularly effective.

Dead Man's Wire (2025) Tony Medley Filled with mounting tension and well-directed and acted, this is said to be "based on" the actual events. That’s probably because the dialogue has been invented, because the story is true.

The Naked Gun (2025) Tony Medley Satire, competently done, even if absurd and silly, can be wonderfully funny, like Dr. Strangelove (1964) and Young Frankenstein (1974). But when not well done, like this film, it becomes monotonous dreck. Every second of this fiasco was misery.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025) Tony Medley Its raisons d’étre are the stunts and visual effects (288 credits!) which aren't enough to justify 3 hours of a convoluted tale, despite the Oscar(r)-quality music. Like the others this one is instantly forgettable save for the stunts.

Juror #2 (2024) Tony Medley Director Clint Eastwood rarely disappoints, and this is another good one. The pace and acting are terrific, and the story is believable. If this is Clint's swan song, he goes out on top.

Above Suspicion (2019) Tony Medley Shame on them. They bury the lead and tell a different tale from the excellent book about an FBI agent accused of murder. The true story is much more interesting than what they invented. If you want to create facts, don't use real names.

Air (2023) Tony Medley ...an homage to Nike's Sonny Vaccaro who was a man for all seasons as he saw the future and gambled al to fight for it despite daunting odds. Matt Damon gives an award-quality performance, along with Viola Davis as Jordan's strong mother.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) Tony Medley The story lacks tension and reason. It is slow, even boring. The dialogue is uninspiring. The denouement is ridiculous and unfulfilling. If Benoit was the “world’s greatest detective” before, now he isn’t in the top 100. Hercule Poirot needn't worry.
