Magic in the Moonlight (2014) Austin Kennedy This is exactly the type of screwball fluff that would have been found in cinemas during the 1930s.This is the perfect movie to see on a nice, breezy summer day. It'll make you feel good.

Ghostbusters (1984) Austin Kennedy GHOSTBUSTERS is a movie that I've seen well over a hundred times and I'm still not sick of it, nor do I think I ever will. It's an iconic comedy that I think has held up very well over the past 30 years.

The Navigator (1924) Austin Kennedy THE NAVIGATOR is a text-book example on how to execute slapstick and sight gags. I would say that this film, even more so than THE GENERAL, is a perfect introduction to the films of Buster Keaton.

American Hustle (2013) Austin Kennedy At the end of the day, most people will be talking about the actors, not how clever the con was. It's not a masterpiece, nor the next big thing. But it is a decent film, full of great acting, a surprisingly amount of humor, and a cool 70′s vibe.

Thor: The Dark World (2013) Austin Kennedy Marvel has seemed to turn Thor into one giant joke. The plot is a mess, the effects look cheap, and Kat Dennings' annoying character practically dominates the movie. THOR: THE DARK WORLD is one major letdown!

How I Live Now (2013) Austin Kennedy Instead of showing Daisy and Eddie falling for each other through genuine interaction, we just get lots of montages of them giving googly eyes at one another. It just didn't fit with the raw nature of the film's tone.

Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) Austin Kennedy It's not a masterpiece. Almost every scene could have been shortened by at least 10 seconds, but the 2 lead actresses bring an undeniable power to their characters making this a very honest, raw, intimate and genuine love story.

Man of Tai Chi (2013) Austin Kennedy Keanu knows exactly what kind of movie this is, and doesn't pretend for a second that it's more important than it really is. It's a solid kick-ass martial arts movie, nothing more. I miss movies like this.

Pacific Rim (2013) Austin Kennedy PACIFIC RIM transports you into a world that could have been conceived by a 12-year-old boy. This movie is a total kick ass nerdfest that has nothing but love for the material it's tackling. Del Toro has made the best blockbuster of the summer!

Around the World in 80 Days (1956) Austin Kennedy Michael Anderson's direction couldn't be more unimaginative and flat. A movie like this should be swimming in creative whimsy, and a sense of wonder. There's nothing of that sort here.
